Marguerite de Villiers is a Partner at Harris Gomez Group, with a particular interest in the human side of business law. She is passionate about helping companies grow from the ground up and is known for her attentive, approachable, and personalised service—always delivered in plain English.
Before entering the legal profession, Marguerite managed luxury safari camps in Southern Africa and designed bespoke travel experiences to some of the continent’s most spectacular destinations. She later moved to Chile, where she lived for six years. During that time, she worked as a paralegal at Harris Gomez Group while studying law and also founded and ran a boutique recruitment firm.
These diverse experiences have given Marguerite a truly global perspective and a practical, commercially minded approach to legal services. Clients value her ability to understand cross-cultural business dynamics and deliver clear, actionable advice.
Marguerite holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New England and is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales.
She is fluent in Afrikaans and English, and speaks intermediate Spanish. Her passions for Africa, Latin America, travel, and food often make for excellent conversation starters—especially with international clients.
